From September 21 to 25, 2009, employees were encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation to get to work. A point system based on distance in kilometres and means of travel (walking, biking, taking the bus, carpooling) was used to calculate the amount of CO2 not released into the atmosphere and to qualify the participants for a drawing. 70% of the employees took part in this event and 400 kg of CO2 were spared.
